Sheikha Hanadi bint Nasser bin Khalid Al Thani is one of Qatar’s leading business people.

In her capacities as CEO of Al Waab City, Vice- Chairperson & Managing Director of Amwal and Vice President of Nasser bin Khaled Al Thani & Sons Holding Group, Sheikha Hanadi manages a broad range of businesses both in Qatar and across the region, in the fields of real estate and investment banking. Sheikha Haya Bint Rashid Al Khalifa, the well-respected Bahraini lawyer and former Ambassador of Bahrain to France was elected in late June to be the President of the 61st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, being only the third woman and the first woman from an Arab nation to hold the position, which she will hold until late 2007.

Sheikha Haya is also Bahrain’s permanent delegate to UNESCO, the U.N. Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. To mark the occasion of her election, Suhayb Saran and Michael Duncan of Saudi Business Focus Magazine held an interview with Sheikha Haya.
